Andrew Dorward, a member of FAC and Professor of Development Economics at SOAS, gave evidence on global food security to the UK Commons Select Committee on International Development last week.
Prof Dorward discussed hunger and challenges to the global food system, the impact of shocks, the roles of smallholder agriculture and large scale farming, and how food security indicators could provide comparable measures for vulnerable groups.
