ReSAKSS – Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System

ReSAKKSThe Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS) is an Africa-wide network established to provide readily available analysis, data, and tools of the highest quality. It promotes evidence-based decision-making, improves awareness of the role of agriculture for development in Africa, fills knowledge gaps, promotes dialogue, and facilitates the benchmarking and review processes associated with the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) agenda of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and African Union (AU) and other regional agricultural development initiatives in Africa.

Achieving the goals of CAADP requires efficient and consistent planning and execution of sector policies and programs, effective translation of government expenditures into public goods and services at adequate levels, and appropriate mechanisms to regularly and transparently measure performance and ensure policies and programs are on track. ReSAKSS nodes have therefore been established to provide timely access to relevant information on investment options and priorities; benchmarks and best practices; statistical information to monitor progress; and other relevant technical information to help guide and inform the CAADP implementation process.
